- A version for your phone that works with no signal
What's inside
Nine tabbed sections that line up in a ring binder. Previews from the sample for a family of four and a dog. Yours is filled in with your own household.
- 01 ActStay or go, in five steps each. Where you meet and who you call.
- 02 PeopleEveryone, with what a medic would need to know. Pets and vets too.
- 03 RolesA job and a backup for every person, decided before the alert.
- 04 ContactsNumbers written out, schools and pickup, and cut-out wallet cards.
- 05 PlacesMeeting points, two ways out, and how to shut the house down.
- 06 Go-bagsA 72-hour checklist for each person and pet, and the document bag.
- 07 HazardsA page for each hazard you ticked, from Ready.gov guidance.
- 08 SuppliesYour two-week targets and a log of where everything is stored.
- 09 UpkeepThe first 30 days, then a dated calendar for the year.
On every phone, with no signal
The binder also comes as one small file for each phone in the house. It opens with no signal and no data, the numbers are tap-to-call, and the checklists tick off.
- Call 911 and your out-of-area contact from the top of the screen
- Stay-or-go steps, meeting points and routes out
- Medications, allergies, doctors and vets
- Go-bag checklists, shutoffs and what to do for each hazard
How it works
- 1
Take the free check
Six questions about your household, home and budget. Your score and shopping plan come right after.
- 2
Get the binder
One payment of $27. Your binder is built from the plan you already made.
- 3
Add the details
About ten minutes of short questions: names, medications, meeting points, shutoffs. Skip anything you don't know yet. It prints as a line to fill in by hand.
- 4
Print it
Print at home, at a library or at a print shop, and keep it with the go-bags. Change anything later and download it again.
Names, medications and addresses stay on your device. The binder is built in your browser and its contents are never sent to us.
Hazard and shutoff guidance comes from Ready.gov, and every hazard page names its source.
Paper doesn't need a signal. The phone version doesn't either.

Questions
Do I need a printer?
No. Save the PDF and print it at a library, an office store or a print shop. Letter size, black and white works fine, color looks better.
What if I don't know some of the answers?
Skip them. Anything left empty prints as a line to fill in by hand, so the binder is usable the day you print it.
How does the phone version work?
After you fill in your binder, save the phone version and it lands in your phone's Downloads. Open it any time, even in airplane mode. Send the same file to everyone else in the house by text, email or AirDrop.
Is this a subscription?
No. It's one payment of $27. You can update your details and download the binder again whenever something changes.
How is this different from the free plan?
The free plan tells you what to buy and when. The binder is the household's playbook for the day something happens: who does what, where you meet, who you call and what each person grabs.
Where does my information go?
Nowhere. The binder is built in your browser, and names, medications and addresses stay on your device. See our privacy page.
New phone or a different computer?
Open your binder on the new device and enter the email you used at checkout. It unlocks again. Your answers are saved on the device where you typed them, so fill them in again there or keep using the first device.
